Cold Stone Massage Therapy is a modality that uses Marble Stones that are applied to the body surface with varied stone temperatures. The course focuses on various techniques and stone designs to provide therapeutic and revitalizing massages with benefits and contraindications. The course will focus on how to integrate service offerings with business-building strategies. The step-by-step approach illustrates the Cold Stone Massage Therapy to allow one to develop and/or refine skills. 


This advanced education course features a 360 degree learning approach to ensure you will gain knowledge in theory technique breakdown, proper body mechanics, self-care, product knowledge, and business skills. 


Course Statement

As with all continuing education, it is understood that the wellness provider is responsible for verifying that information provided in courses is within the wellness provider’s state and/or local scope of practice as defined by law. In addition, course participants should be advised that additional training and education are required to be truly proficient in any topic. Once the course is complete and the wellness provider scores 70% or higher on the exam, the wellness provider will receive a Certificate of Completion.

The Small Round Stones are great for effleurage, petrissage, or as a placement stone to cool of areas of swelling. . The small stone is good for the smaller muscle groups, like the hands and feet as well as the neck. The stones can be used in general effleurage and petrissage strokes to cool the area.
The Medium Round Stone are great for effleurage, petrissage, or as a placement stone to cool of areas of swelling. The medium stone is good for the medium muscle groups, like the shoulders, calves, arms and chest. The stones can be used in general effleurage and petrissage strokes to cool a larger area.
The Single Taper Oblong Stones are good for trigger point, deep tissue, and compression. Since this stone is long and thin, it makes is a good stone to work on the arms as well as for specific work on the neck. The opposite non-tapered side is good for stripping and effleurage.
